Tesfalem Arefaine known widely or perhaps only known as as Korchach is a famous Eritrean singer. He was born in Asmara, Eritrea. He is known for his distinctive vocal talent, and dancing style which sometimes resembles to Western / HipHop type.
When Tesfalem was a young boy, and saw his mother being murdered by Ethiopians soldiers during the Eritrean War of Independence, which marked the time for Korchach to get into music to find comfort. Korchach started to sing in 2001 after the help and support from Dawit Shlan (his mentor). Before that time he was known and worked only as dancer in major night club along a music band, for which he earned himself a price and recognition of his good dancing knowledge.
Korchach lives Gejeret nieshtoy. He has so far three albums: Minalbat (Maybe), the successful Entay Giere (What did I do ), and Titsbit newihuwa (Wating endlessly ). Korchach makes many tours in a world wide concert .
