1958 | In June 1958, after the general strike and as a result of the ongoing resistance <b>a political underground movement </b>in Eritrea is created: <b> ELM (Eritrean Liberation Movement)</b> "Eritrean Liberation Movement" (ELM), was founded by some exiled Eritreans. It was known soon as "Mahber Showatte" meaning "Group of the 7", the main office being in Port Sudan.
